Groovebox and Mario Ochoa sign with 1605 – Music Therapy publishing catalogue FM Publishing

UMEK’s imprint 1605 – Music Therapy recently signed a worldwide publishing deal with Cloud 9 Holland Music Publishing for their catalogue FM Publishing. Last month Mike Vale signed an exclusive deal and it’s our honour to welcome two new heavyweights to the catalogue: Groovebox & Mario Ochoa. Spanish producer Groovebox, who recently did a collab with UMEK himself that went straight into the Beatport top 10, is one of the most respected taste makers and highly demanded Techhouse DJ’s in the European music scene. Mario Ochoa hails from Columbia and already had releases on labels like Ultra, Toolroom Records, Great Stuff and many more as well as he owns his own imprint Avenue Recordings. His recent release was ‘Scream’ on 1605 – Music Industry.

Groovebox is quickly establishing himself as one of Spain’s most respected tastemakers and highly demanded Tech House Djs in the European music scene. Groovebox has began 2013 strong, peaking into the Tech House top till nº12 on “Beatport” for 2 months with his track Gangster and has been charted for 80 times at Playlisted by John Dahlbäck, Stefano Noferini and more. Actually his track “Brooklyn” has reached the nº 1 in the top 10 Tech House top at during 2 months and 2 weeks and playlisted by Umek, Stefano Noferini, Mark Knight , The Cube Guys, Wally Lopez, Ian Carey, Mr White, Mario Ochoa and more .

Now has reached the Tech House top chart agrian with his new track “Strictly Funk” with the italian duo Phunk Investigation on Deeperfect Records.
Once again Groovebox have the númer 1 at Tech House top 100 on Beatport with his track Cause and Effect with UMEK.

Mario Ochoa:
Born in Medellin (Colombia) Mario’s career starts in 1999 when he was 18 years old. In 2003 Mario released his first hit “Habla con la Luna” on Disc Doctor Records which became a huge success on Spain, France, Mexico and South America, being included on more than 70 compilations all over the world. That same year, Mario gets even more exposure when he got signed with to “Poolemusic” property of Antoine Clamaran, French dj and producer who helped a lot to grow Mario’s career. Since then, Mario has signed tracks with many other labels such as Ultra, Universal, 100% Pure, Toolroom Records, 1605 Music Theraphy, Great Stuff, Kittball, Juicy Music, Nervous Records, Fine Tune, Pacha Records, Ministry of Sound,Subliminal Records, to name a few.

In 2006 Mario launched his own record label “Avenue Recordings”, label that has released many hits in the past years including several of Mario’s own productions and as well trying to help new talents be heard.

In 2008 his track “Much Better” became a massive hit all over the world, played by hundreds of radio stations and supported by the biggest names on the scene.

Then the hits kept coming, singles like “The Indian Express”, “BS”, “Mr Boom”, “Tu va ver”, “Lockdown”, “Big Spender”, “La Cosa Nostra”, “La Noche”, “The Chant”, “Wizard” “Give some Love” (#7 at Billboard’s dance chart ) all hitting the charts on the major digital stores around the world.

Also in 2010 Mario started his own Radio/Podcast show, called “Infected Beats” which airs every two weeks. The show lasts 2 hours and includes special guest mixes on every episode.
