Indian Askin

BIOGRAPHY

A shape-shifting Dutch psych rock quartet with a razor-sharp punk aesthetic, Amsterdam-based Indian Askin was formed in 2012 and dropped their debut album Sea Of Ethanol (Warner Music) in April 2016. The album entered the Dutch Album charts at a solid #8 position. The Dutch press was all over the band and calls it one of the biggest new talents from the Netherlands. In 2017, the band won the Edison award for Best Newcomer (the Dutch equivalent of the Grammy). Their psychedelic, somewhat twisted, nu-punk sound has an undeniable ‘Indian Askin’ feel, but also pays respect to all great music from the sixties, seventies and nineties. Indian Askin is making a name for themselves in Holland’s live circuit, as well as abroad. In January 2019, the band released their much-anticipated second studio album Another Round (Warner Music). The lead single from this album, “I Feel Something,” has over  a million streams to date, and the band had a great festival summer with successful (mainstage) appearances at Pinkpop and Best Kept Secret festival. On Dec 6th 2019, the band released a 6 track EP (Caroline). The lead single “Deep End” was out Nov 22nd .
