Digital Punk
Digital Punk, born as René de Bruijn in Dordrecht in 1985, has become a respected DJ/Producer in the Hardstyle scene. With his Bangin? Beats and unique sets this energetic DJ knows how to get the crowds wild and euphoric, time and time again, which results in a growing number of followers. In his short career as DJ he has made name through successful gigs such as Decibel, Hardbass, Emporium, Bassleader and where releases such as Push em up, get em up and the Punk Soul Brother were instant hits. Hardstyle lovers will be more than satisfied at his shows. This year Digital Punk will keep on rising and attract the crowds with his stunning performances!
In 2003 Digital Punk exchanged his drumsticks for a turntable. Soon after that his first demo was send to “Hardbeat on Tour” and at this event was his first gig. After this successful performance there was no turning back.
Besides his performance as DJ he also decided to focus on the producing of this music. Soon it became a fact that it was a talent and shortly after his first remix of the big clubhit Lock ?n Load, blow ya mind was released by nothing less than Tremble Tracks. Soon after that another success followed when he produced his first track Transformed which was compiled on the Decibel cd of 2005. After this first little success the attention was drawn by Tremble Tracks, where he signed a contract. between 2005 and 2007 he became a resident DJ at the well known Rotterdam Club Hollywood, and that was the ideal opportunity to show his talent to a greater crowd, during that time his success grew which led to even more and bigger performances all over the country and across the borders.
In 2006 his first solo release Push em up, get em up appeared which immediately became a great hit in the scene. Each track of this E.P. was compiled on several big compilations which made it a big success. This led to more gigs and remixes for other producers. This also led to his performance at Hardbass 2006.
In 2007 Digital Punk began working on a new E.P. the Punk Soul Brother which became a instant hit and exceeded his first release. In the same year he also mixed part 4 of the Tremble Tracks presents cd?s and more performances followed at the highest level such as Decibel, Bassleader, Emporium, Pussy lounge and Xxlerator.
In 2008 Digital Punk will focus more on hardstyle and has produced the track Raw Material together with Balistic. He also produced the E.P. Bringin? the funk together with Marlon S for Seismic Records.
