Superstar DJ, cutting edge producer and global personality – the one they call ‘Hellraiser’ continues to inspire his ever growing army of darkness and humble even the worlds biggest home brand DJ’s with his spine shattering performances. Sitting atop Pharmacy’s ivory throne, Hellraiser has grown together with Australia’s number one party brand and in turn this unholy alliance has laid waste to all that have stood in their way.
The antichrist superstar’s profile continues to pulsate and grow as he slides ever down the spiral of global infamy – Hellraiser is Australia’s first genuine export into the world of tough edged dance music. With releases on heavyweight labels such as Überdruck Records and acid trance magnate Tracid Traxxx, Hellraiser’s latest production epic has been signed to one of the hottest Dutch labels – Straight On Black! Hellraiser has also become the Australian representative for Straight On Recordings, Straight On Black Recordings, and Privilege Recordings after signing exclusively to Straight On Recordings. Similarly he now has three genre defining CD’s under his black mitre, including the latest Pharmacy CD mixed together with Finnish pal Proteus. This man can even cook 2 minute noodles in under a minute!
From his humble beginnings spinning acid & hardcore in Melbourne’s underground warehouse scene some twelve years ago, the antichrist superstar has grown and mutated into the avenging angel we know today. His exploits have seen him punish crowds as far flung as Melbourne, Auckland, London and Finland where he has shared top billing (& played versus!) alongside the like of Yoji Biomehanika, Proteus, Lab4, Scot Project, ASYS, Kai Tracid, Derb, Chris Liebing, Cosmic Gate and even Paul Van Dyk to name but a few.
Much like the man himself the Hellraiser sound is truly an enigma; boundless and indefinable. Seamlessly combining the aggressive aesthetics of alternative rock with the power of acid and the pure symphony of trance, Hellraiser is as unpredictable as he is talented and has been known to work anything from electro through to metal and alternative into his sets. Pushing his secret blend of herbs and spices harder than most his own brand of hardstyle, hard trance, techno and acid quickly transformed him into one of Australia’s most in demand DJs and is also now spreading his message of darkness across some of the country’s most notorious clubs, events and festivals including Pharmacy, Laboratory 3 (Brixton Academy, London), Sade (Finland), 2Tribes, Transmission, Plastic, Bass Station, Gods Kitchen, Hard Kandy, Advent*Jah, and Slinky.
Striking a somewhat ominous figure behind the decks, Hellraiser is infamous for spreading his message of darkness through his wild on stage antics and performances- drawn from inspirational figures including gothic rocker Marilyn Manson, practitioner of the dark arts Alistair Crowley and the ever graceful legions of dandy and libertine artists, Hellraiser is a dark circus performance gone horribly wrong. Adorned in his pin stripe suit, black waistcoat or German military jacket, sometimes spiked collars, and always a white contact lens the ‘pretty little hate machine’ has secured a very special place with his fanatical army of fans across the globe – legion for we are many!
