DJ Thilo

DJ THILO AKA THILO SPAANS  developed his passion for dj-ing when he was almost 16 whilst at his first big rave with his older brother.  He was mesmorised by the dj’s performances and their  effect  on the crowd and knew then that he wanted to be a dj! The young Thilo spent all of his savings on dj gear and with the help of his brother who organised parties to expose the budding dj’s talent, his reputation soon grew to the point where in September 2003 his demo was chosen as the best of that month by the visitors of primalsound.com; Thilo being the first Dutch Dj to reach this goal. Their comment: “Dj Thilo’s driving beats are not for the faint hearted. Continuously stepping up the gear but never losing the groove, his demo is a great pick-me-up, mixed perfectly.’’

Dj Thilo’s style can be described as versatile as he loves almost every style of music; his passion for both hardstyle and techno music can be seen in the tracks he has created with friend Evanti, which have been released on the Straight-On Black label. The mix of hardstyle and techno have proved so successful that plans are being made to launch a new techno label with Evanti and Dj Luna.

Dj Thilo continues to build his international reputation by playing at clubs in the USA, Poland, England, Scotland, Spain, Greece, Germany and Belgium but looks forward to returning ‘home’ to play in the Asta, The Hague this October.
