Ianick
The young Norwegian producer Ianick started developing tracks at age 14, fiddling around in FL Studio looking for his own “sound”. With only 17 years this talent has a bright future ahead of him!
Ianick, born on the 9th of December, 1992 in Haugesund, Norway, grew up in a small city called “Tønsberg”. Ianick touches his first instrument at the age of ten when he started a band with his two closest friends at the time. After playing a year of two, he started a new band -- that had acts at venues all over Norway. Although this was fun enough, it was not enough for Ianick. At the age of 14, he bought a copy of FL Studio, and started practising, pracising and practising. And after two years of searching for his very own “sound”, he was ready to start chasing his dream.
Music was the only thing that really ever caught Ianick’s interest, and after producing music for hours upon end for almost three years, he got his first label, called “Housefreakaz Recordings” -- although he had done remix work “Universal Music Group”, “LNG Music” and “Warner Music Group”, he had never before signed or released his own original work.
“Man Made EP” -- containing the tracks “Man Made” and “Piko”, that did very well at stores like Traxsource and DJTunes, would be his first release including his own original work.
These days, Ianick is viewed upon as one of Norway’s “top notch” house producers -- and is the youngest person to be regarded as such. His exceptional technical skills behind the decks also makes him a DJ that is able to make you dance to music you’d never think you’d dance to. Not far away is the release of the highly anticipated track “Ianick -- Happy Ending”, which is sure to strike it big in the global house community. To be continued …
