Welcome to Onnik’s world. A world populated by angular beat-making machines, fused together with wires and tunes that ripple across their circuit boards.

A reputable tech-house producer, Onnik is passionate about his time in the studio. His back catalogue so far includes remix work on Timati’s Groove On featuring the legendary Snoop Dogg as well as a swathe of releases under his own name. Highlights include the fast-paced High Roller, and epic dancefloor tune Black Clouds to name just two. His work hasn’t gone unnoticed, and his releases have already been picked up by a series of quality labels including HouseQuake Records, Big & Dirty Records, Spinnin’ Records and Free For All.

A trio of new releases is currently in the works for Onnik. Not only is his solo release Pandemonium out soon, he has also been working with two great vocalists on his new tracks. Miss Irma Derby adds some powerful soul flavour to Music, and the irrepressible I-Fan, one of house’s hottest male vocalists right now, will be appearing on Signing My Love.

Onnik also puts out his own fortnightly radio show, Electronn!k, which you can listen to at Dance Tunes Radio and is guaranteed to feature a great selection of breaks and beats.

The relationship between music and technology is a central concern for this Dutch artist. When performing live he revels in using complex set-ups to construct his sets, bringing his cherished MacBook Pro together with the Allen & Heath ?? into play alongside the more traditional tools of the trade. This allows Onnik a large degree of creativity and it is easy to understand why he is so compelling to watch. The music he creates and plays is predominantly house and techhouse, but a childhood listening to a huge variety of music means he has developed his own distinct style, both as a DJ and in the studio. His fan base is growing steadily as more people discover his records and experience his shows. Intent on honing his craft in the studio and behind the decks, Onnik is deservedly becoming an influential figure in the scene, particularly where tech-house is concerned.
