Sequentia
The story of Sequentia is one of friendship and a shared love for electronic dance music. Before Daniel (Aachen, Germany, 23 years old) and Mark (Rotterdam, The Netherlands, 24 years old) met, they both started producing trance music using FL Studio. After a few years the two solo projects, respectfully Far & Away and Spiral Motion, began to take off. The guys heard each others tunes in DJ sets and started to chat and exchange music files in order to improve their skills. Accompanied by a blossoming friendship this soon led to their first collaboration entitled “Eclipse”. Due to various reasons this didn’t get signed, but the second effort entitled “Innuendo” was snapped up by Ian Betts for a release on his Six:Thirty record label in 2006. After this success the Sequentia project became the guys’ number one priority, resulting in various singles played by all the top jocks around the globe. Sequentia proved to be a much wanted remix act as well, with takes on singles by Lost Witness and Jan Johnston to name a few. During 2007 and early 2008 Sequentia had quite successful moments with “Kaleidoscope”, the release of “Eclipse” on Enhanced Recordings, “Higher State / Sun Worship” (an E.P. on Dark Noize Recordings), the Sequentia Remix of “Forgotten Freedom” by Moonforce & Mark Versluis and let’s not forget their remix of Adam Nickey’s “Never Gone” for their favourite label Anjunabeats. Still, chasing after world fame is not the guys’ intention at all. Sequentia is about making music that touches people, and as long as people keep playing their singles and remixes, it’s all worth it. Sequentia’s latest efforts, “The Game” and “Mistake’s We’ve Made” on Conspiracy Recordings and “Infinite Horizon” on Afterglow Records, prove that their passion for producing dreamy uplifting trance music transcends any current fashion.
The next few years will be equally busy for Sequentia, with over 20 tracks and remixes still in the making.
Of course Sequentia is also available for DJ sets (in clubs or online), with Daniel providing great music through his excellent and well trained mixing skills.
