One of the main activities of Cloud 9 Music is Music Supervision. Cloud 9 will look after the full music process of a movie e.g., the film’s score and suggesting composers, artists, songs (source music) for the movie. Cloud 9 also handles the process of title songs, suggesting artists and approaching the artists and the record companies.

The title song can be seen as the most successful promotional tool for the movie, as a top 10 hit is free promotion not only on radio but especially on the clip-broadcasters, as the clip contains fragments of the movie. A free-trailer!

Cloud 9 has been responsible for numerous title songs like for the following movies;

Music Supervision

Cloud 9 will be handling the following for the movie producers:

A  Suggesting composers for making the score of movies and TV episodes

B  Suggesting souce music (songs in the movie) for movies and TV episodes

C  The handling of all clearances of the used music, Cloud 9 will;

• Together with the director and producer, make suggestions
• Request the suggestions of publishers and record companies
• Suggest fees and after approval of the producer, conclude the deal and handle the available budget
• Make cue-sheets and provide Buma/Stemra with all relevant information

D  Title song

• Creatively making suggestions for the title song(s)
• Suggesting artists
• Having the title song being composed
• Approaching artists and record companies
• Negotiating with record companies
• Promotional support for distributor, record company and producer
• Using all other know how and networks of Cloud 9

E  Making cd soundtracks or assisting record companies with the soundtrack
